Location: Various sites across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience and assignment
The Role
We're looking for chefs of all levels to join our busy temporary team. Whether you're an experienced Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or Cook, we have a variety of shifts available to suit your availability.
This is ideal for chefs looking for extra work alongside their current role, those between permanent positions, or anyone wanting the flexibility to choose when and where they work.
We work with schools, care homes, contract catering sites, hotels, restaurants and event venues, offering a range of assignments across the local area.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
- Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Supporting kitchen teams during busy service periods
- Managing stock and storing deliveries correctly
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Working independently or as part of an established kitchen team
- Using your own initiative to ensure a smooth service
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (within the last 3 years)
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Own chef whites and knives preferred
- Access to transport is beneficial due to some site locations
