Are you an experienced catering or hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring high standards are maintained every day?

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Team Leader - Catering & Hospitality to support the day-to-day operation of a busy catering, café, and hospitality service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll help oversee food service operations, support hospitality events, and act as a key link between the Catering Manager and wider team.

What You'll Be Doing

Catering Operations

• Support the daily delivery of breakfast, lunch, and supper services
• Ensure food is presented and served to the highest standards
• Lead by example during busy service periods
• Support both kitchen and front-of-house operations
• Monitor service quality and resolve operational issues efficiently
• Help maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming catering environment

Café Services

• Support the smooth running of café operations
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Assist with stock control and merchandising
• Ensure food displays and service areas remain fully stocked and presentable
• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Hospitality & Events

• Coordinate hospitality events, meetings, and functions
• Ensure meeting rooms and hospitality areas are prepared to required standards
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders regarding hospitality requirements
• Support the delivery of a professional and seamless event experience
• Assist with set-up, service, and breakdown of hospitality functions

Team Leadership

• Motivate, coach, and support catering team members
• Assist with induction and ongoing staff development
• Support daily work allocation and rota planning
• Promote a positive and collaborative team culture
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and service standards

Supporting the Catering Manager

• Act as a key point of contact in the Catering Manager's absence
• Assist with operational planning and organisation
• Support stock management, ordering, and cost control activities
• Help identify opportunities to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and team development

Skills & Experience

We're interested in professionals who can demonstrate experience in some of the following areas:

• Previous catering, hospitality, food service, or café experience
• Team Leader, Supervisor, or senior team member experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience working in fast-paced service environments
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety requirements
• Stock control and ordering experience
• Ability to organise workloads and support team performance
• Experience supporting hospitality events or functions desirable
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate and lead by example

Working Hours

• Primarily Monday to Friday
• 10:00am - 6:30pm
• Occasional weekend working required to support business needs
• Flexibility required for hospitality events and occasional later shifts
• Temp to Perm Opportunity
