Catering Supervisor
Location: Leeds
Pay Rate: £17.14 per hour
Start Date: Monday 19th October
Working Hours: 07:30am - 3:00pm
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Catering Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring a balance of both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) responsibilities, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy catering environment.
The successful candidate will lead by example, delivering excellent customer service while supporting kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House (FOH):
- Supervise catering service and customer-facing operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer queries professionally.
- Ensure food displays, serving areas, and dining spaces are well-presented and fully stocked.
- Support cash handling and point-of-sale transactions where required.
Back of House (BOH):
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed.
- Oversee food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
- Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
- Ensure all catering equipment is maintained and used safely.
Supervisory Duties:
- Lead and support catering staff during shifts.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Help maintain efficient service delivery during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service supervisory role.
- Experience working across both front and back of house operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential).
