Catering Assistant in Leeds - Enhanced DBS Essential
Blue Arrow Leeds Team is currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Catering and Kitchen Assistants for temporary catering jobs in schools and care homes across Leeds and the surrounding areas.
We offer flexible shifts, weekly pay and ongoing support for candidates with a valid Enhanced DBS who are looking for catering work within schools, care homes and healthcare settings.
Location: Leeds and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: Starting £12.71ph Monday to Friday, enhanced weekend rates available
Contract Type: Agency work
Flexible shifts available: Part-time and full-time work opportunities in Leeds
Duties Include:
· Assisting with the preparation and serving of food
· Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
· Washing and storing kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery
· Supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks
· Preparing salads, sandwiches and side dishes
· Receiving and organising deliveries
· Following food safety and allergen procedures
· Disposing of waste correctly and keeping work areas tidy
· Providing excellent customer service when required
What We're Looking For:
· Previous catering, kitchen or food service experience required
· Enhanced DBS is essential due to work in schools and care homes
· Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
· Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
· Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
· Willing to travel
