Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for motivated Catering Assistants to support a variety of clients across Cheadle. Whether you're seeking occasional shifts, consistent part-time hours, or longer-term opportunities, we have assignments to match your availability.
DBS Requirements
A number of our clients operate within sectors that require an Enhanced DBS Certificate, covering Child Workforce, Adult Workforce, or both.
Candidates without a valid DBS can apply through Blue Arrow; however, please note this is subject to a charge.
Responsibilities
As a Catering Assistant, your responsibilities could include:
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of food
- Serving meals, drinks, and refreshments
- Supporting chefs and kitchen teams with basic food preparation
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas
- Adhering to food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures
- Assisting during busy meal service periods
- Washing kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery
- Replenishing stock and consumable items where required
- Keeping workstations organised, clean, and compliant
Experience Required
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Previous experience within catering, hospitality, food service, or customer-facing roles
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safe working practices
- A Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
- A professional and positive approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent reliability, flexibility, and punctuality
- Access to transport, which is advantageous when travelling between locations
