Blue Arrow is recruiting Catering Assistants to support a range of clients across Ashby-de-la-Zouch and the surrounding areas. We have opportunities available for candidates seeking anything from occasional shifts to regular ongoing work.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

• Serving food and beverages
• Assisting with food preparation
• Supporting kitchen teams during busy service periods
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Following health and safety procedures
• Replenishing stock and supplies
• Ensuring work areas remain clean, safe, and organised

Types of Sites We Support

Assignments are available across a variety of settings, including:

• Care and nursing homes
• Schools, colleges, and educational establishments
• Nurseries and childcare settings
• Staff restaurants and industrial catering facilities
• Hotels and leisure venues
• Conference centres and event locations

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will ideally have:

• Previous catering, hospitality, or food service experience
• An understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and professional attitude
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong reliability and punctuality

A Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but is not essential.

Access to your own transport may be beneficial when travelling to various client locations.

DBS Requirements

Some positions are based within education and care environments and therefore require an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

If you already hold a DBS certificate, it must either:

• Be registered with the DBS Update Service, or
• Have been issued within the last 12 months

If you do not currently hold a DBS, Blue Arrow can assist with the application process. Please note that a fee applies for new DBS checks.
