You may be placed within a variety of settings, including:

- Leisure Centres, Attractions and Hospitality Venues
- Event Catering and Commercial Food Service Operations
DBS Requirements
Certain clients, particularly within education, healthcare, and care environments, require employees to hold a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate covering the Child Workforce, Adult Workforce, or both.
Where required, your DBS certificate must either:
- Be registered with the DBS Update Service, or
- Have been issued within the previous 12 months.
Applicants without a current DBS check must be willing to complete one through Blue Arrow. Please note that fees apply for new DBS applications.
The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will help support the smooth day-to-day running of catering services by:
- Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
- Serving food and drinks to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintaining cleanliness within kitchen, service, and dining areas
- Adhering to food safety, allergen control, and hygiene procedures
- Supporting chefs and kitchen teams during busy service periods
- Operating dishwashers and cleaning catering equipment
- Restocking supplies and maintaining organised storage areas
- Assisting with general catering and hospitality tasks as required
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience within catering, hospitality, food production, retail, or customer service
- A basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- A Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable but not essential)
- A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- The ability to work well under pressure in busy environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work
- Access to their own transport, which is advantageous for travelling between sites
