Cook - Care Homes (Stockport Area)
£14.50 - £15.50 per hour
4 on, 4 off rota
Shifts: 8:00am - 6:00pm

We are currently recruiting Cooks to support Care homes across the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a caring and supportive environment where the quality and presentation of food play an important role in residents' daily lives.
The Role
Working within a care home setting, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals using the Apetito catering system. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for ensuring every meal is served to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Regenerating and preparing meals using the Apetito food system
- Ensuring all meals are presented attractively and consistently
- Catering for residents' dietary requirements and preferences
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation
- Managing stock levels and rotating food correctly
- Following food safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Working closely with care home staff to provide an excellent dining experience for residents
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant, or within a similar catering environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A keen eye for detail, particularly when it comes to food presentation
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen environment
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
- Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
