We are currently recruiting experienced Agency Chefs to join our growing team, supporting a variety of clients across Bedford and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for chefs who enjoy working in different environments while maintaining complete flexibility over their schedule.
About the Role
As an Ad Hoc Agency Chef, you will be required to work across a range of establishments including:
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Gastro Pubs
- Care Homes
- Schools and Colleges
- Contract Catering Sites
- Event Venues
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining food hygiene standards, and supporting kitchen operations during busy periods, staff shortages, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a high standard
- Working independently or as part of a kitchen team
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Managing stock and minimising waste where required
- Adapting quickly to new kitchen environments
- Delivering exceptional service under pressure
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Head Chef, or similar position
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Own transport is advantageous but not essential
