Lead Chef - Healthcare Site
📍 Burnham-on-Sea
⏰ 36 hours per week (shift work & alternate weekends)
💷 £14.00 - £16.00 per hour
We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Lead Chef to oversee the kitchen at a healthcare site in Burnham-on-Sea, catering for approximately 42 residents.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident chef looking to step into a leadership role within a supportive and rewarding environment.
The Role:
- Preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
- Leading and supporting a small team of 2 part-time chefs and 2 kitchen assistants
- Planning menus in line with dietary and nutritional requirements
- Managing stock, ordering, and reducing waste
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
- Organising kitchen operations to ensure smooth service
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a chef, ideally within healthcare or large-scale catering
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen awareness
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards
