Blue Arrow is urgently recruiting for a Recycling Operative (automotive/voltage) to join our clients team based in the Llanelli area.Salary: £24,454 p.a (Monthly pay)Hours of work: 37 hours pw working Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 17:00 and Fridays 09:00 - 15:00Contract: PermanentMain Responsibilities:<ul><li>Process automotive high voltage lithium-ion batteries and battery scrap materials through the safe operation of our battery recycling equipment &amp; machinery</li><li>Perform battery inspections, discharging, testing, crushing and output of battery materials</li><li>Liaise with engineers and team members to develop and improve our in-house processes</li><li>Workshop management (e.g. PPE is checked and used correctly, machinery is not misused)</li><li>Assist with the monitoring of waste quantities and outputted products (e.g. black mass)</li><li>Ensure that all processes are followed correctly to tight deadlines</li></ul>Skills required:<ul><li>Experience of working in a warehouse/yard environment</li><li>Safety-first approach to work is essential</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and a great work ethic</li><li>Methodological approach to tasks and ability to work in an orderly, disciplined manner</li><li>Great communication skills (Clear written and verbal communication is essential)</li><li>Physically able to carry out manual tasks: The role is a very Physical role</li><li>Able to understand and follow processes and safe systems of work (SSOW)</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Experience of electronics and/or Hazardous high voltage experience and awareness (training is provided)</li><li>Forklift counterbalance experience but training will be provided</li><li>3 A-Levels and/or a technical level qualification (e.g. vocational course)</li><li>UK Drivers Licence</li></ul>If you feel you have the right experience for the above role, please submit your CV for immediate response.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
