<p> </p><div><h2>Accounts Receivable Officer (AO)</h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> Newforge<br /> <strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £13.75 per hour<br /> <strong>Hours:</strong> Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)<br /> <strong>Contract:</strong> Temporary agency assignment<br /> <strong>Start Date:</strong> Immediate<strong><br /></strong></p><p>We are currently recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for an <strong>Accounts Receivable Officer (AO)</strong> to join their busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative or finance professional seeking a long-term temporary role within a structured and supportive environment.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Formatting and preparing data for import into a finance accounting system to generate batch invoices</li><li>Creating manual invoices and credit notes on customer accounts</li><li>Carrying out credit control activities, including issuing statements and providing copy invoices on request</li><li>Taking credit and debit card payments over the telephone</li><li>Responding to customer and supplier queries via telephone and email</li><li>Processing supplier invoices through the purchasing order system</li><li>Reviewing and posting staff expense claims</li><li>Maintaining work trackers and query logs using internal systems</li></ul><h3>Essential Criteria</h3><p>Applicants must be able to demonstrate all of the following:</p><ul><li>At least <strong>two GCSEs (or equivalent)</strong>, including <strong>Mathematics and English</strong></li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing</li><li>Previous experience in an <strong>administrative support role</strong>, ideally involving internal or external customer service</li><li>Good IT skills, including experience using <strong>Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams</strong></li></ul><h3>Desirable Skills</h3><ul><li>Previous experience working in a finance or accounts environment</li><li>Familiarity with accounting or purchasing systems</li><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively</li></ul><h3>What's on Offer</h3><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate of <strong>£13.75 per hour</strong></li><li>Full-time weekday working hours (no evenings or weekends)</li><li>Opportunity to gain valuable public sector experience</li></ul><p>If you meet the criteria and are available to start immediately, we would be keen to hear from you.</p><p><strong>Apply now</strong> to be considered for this opportunity.</p></div><p> </p><div> </div>
