<h2>Outdoor Groundstaff - Long-Term Temporary Roles</h2><p><strong>Ilkeston </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>£13.26 p/hr </strong></p><p> </p><p>We are currently recruiting Outdoor Groundstaff to support essential environmental and grounds services across local outdoor sites. These are long-term temporary opportunities offering regular hours and ongoing work for reliable and physically active individuals.</p><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>Working as part of a dedicated outdoor team, you will contribute to the upkeep and presentation of public spaces. Duties will vary depending on the area assigned and may include:</p><ul><li>Litter picking and general site cleanliness</li><li>Gardening duties such as weeding, planting, pruning, and grass cutting</li><li>Light maintenance tasks</li><li>Preparing and maintaining grounds, including work within cemetery areas</li><li>Assisting with seasonal and weather‑dependent tasks</li><li>Following health &amp; safety procedures at all times</li></ul><p>This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires a good level of physical fitness.</p><h3>Working Hours</h3><ul><li>Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm</li><li>Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm</li><li>Weekend work: Required on a rotational basis, depending on the role</li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul><li>A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual approach</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors and as part of a team</li><li>Ability to carry out physical tasks safely</li><li>Previous outdoor, grounds, gardening or maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential</li><li>Willingness to work weekends on a rota when required</li></ul><h3>What's On Offer</h3><ul><li>Long-term temporary positions with consistent hours</li><li>Early finishes on Fridays</li><li>Opportunity to gain valuable outdoor and environmental work experience</li><li>Support from a dedicated recruitment team</li></ul><p>If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining outdoor spaces, and are looking for stable, long-term temporary employment, we'd love to hear from you.</p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
