Outdoor Groundstaff - Long-Term Temporary Roles

We are currently recruiting Outdoor Groundstaff to support essential environmental and grounds services across local outdoor sites. These are long-term temporary opportunities offering regular hours and ongoing work for reliable and physically active individuals.

Role Overview

Working as part of a dedicated outdoor team, you will contribute to the upkeep and presentation of public spaces. Duties will vary depending on the area assigned and may include:

• Litter picking and general site cleanliness
• Gardening duties such as weeding, planting, pruning, and grass cutting
• Light maintenance tasks
• Preparing and maintaining grounds, including work within cemetery areas
• Assisting with seasonal and weather‑dependent tasks
• Following health & safety procedures at all times

This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires a good level of physical fitness.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
• Weekend work: Required on a rotational basis, depending on the role

What We're Looking For

• A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual approach
• Comfortable working outdoors and as part of a team
• Ability to carry out physical tasks safely
• Previous outdoor, grounds, gardening or maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential
• Willingness to work weekends on a rota when required
