🧹 School Caretaker

📍 Location: Keyworth, Nottingham

🕗 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm

💰 Pay: £14 per hour

Blue Arrow Derby are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Caretaker to join a fantastic school in Nottingham! If you're someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, loves variety and is ready to get stuck in, we want to hear from you!

🔧 What you'll be doing:

🛠️ General site maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY

🚪 Opening and locking the site daily

🧼 Cleaning classrooms, dining areas, changing rooms and hallways to a high standard

🧽 Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas tidy (grassed and artificial)

🪑 Setting up and putting away furniture for lessons and events

📦 Recording deliveries and maintaining stock levels of supplies

🧯 Fire warden duties including evacuating vulnerable individuals when needed

🗂️ Supporting lunchtime service and helping to clean up afterwards

👷‍♂️ Assisting external contractors and managing maintenance works

📋 Carrying out compliance checks and logging findings

✅ What we're looking for:

Previous caretaker, janitor, handyperson or site supervisor experience is helpful (but not essential)

Enhanced Child DBS dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to obtain - we can help!)

Able to lift and carry furniture and equipment

Confident communicator with a can-do attitude

Able to work independently and manage your time effectively

Familiar with cleaning products, equipment and safe practices
