Nursery Manager£45,000 to £50,000Location: Basingstoke Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a high‑quality early years setting. This is a key leadership role, responsible for providing strong operational, pedagogical, and strategic direction while promoting the nursery's values, ethos, and reputation.<h3>The Role</h3>As Nursery Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for every child.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>Leadership &amp; Staff Management<ul><li>Recruit, induct, and manage staff in line with safer recruitment practices</li><li>Provide strong, visible, and supportive leadership to the nursery team</li><li>Ensure effective staff deployment, rotas, and ratio compliance</li><li>Monitor performance, support professional development, and promote best practice</li></ul>Safeguarding &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)</li><li>Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and all statutory guidance</li><li>Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare</li><li>Ensure policies and procedures are consistently implemented across the setting</li></ul>Quality of Education &amp; Child Development<ul><li>Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and care throughout the nursery</li><li>Monitor and improve practice across all rooms</li><li>Oversee observation, assessment, and planning processes</li><li>Support children's learning, development, wellbeing, and early intervention</li><li>Promote inclusive practice, supporting children with additional needs</li></ul>Operational &amp; Financial Management<ul><li>Take responsibility for day‑to‑day operational and financial management</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and occupancy</li><li>Contribute to strategic planning and support nursery growth</li></ul>Partnerships &amp; Engagement<ul><li>Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers</li><li>Manage enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally</li><li>Support marketing activity, including open days and nursery tours</li><li>Work collaboratively with the wider school and estate team</li><li>Support children's transitions, including transition into school where applicable</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>A qualified and experienced early years professional with strong leadership experience</li><li>In‑depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding</li><li>Highly organised, resilient, and confident with excellent communication skills</li><li>Committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families</li></ul><h3>What's On Offer</h3><ul><li>A leadership role with real influence and autonomy</li><li>A supportive and professional working environment</li><li>The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development</li></ul> If you are Interested in this role please contact Giles or Nick for further details on 01635 34949 Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
