The role requires strong organisation, practical problem-solving, and the ability to manage people, budgets, and systems effectively.You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-presented environment, while also supporting capital works and longer-term maintenance planning.<hr /><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><h4>Team Coordination &amp; Leadership</h4><ul><li>Organise, supervise, and support the maintenance team</li><li>Allocate daily and weekly maintenance tasks efficiently</li><li>Act as the central point of contact for all maintenance issues</li><li>Ensure clear communication and consistency across operations</li></ul><h4>Technical Support &amp; Problem Solving</h4><ul><li>Act as escalation point for complex or unresolved maintenance issues</li><li>Diagnose faults and resolve directly where possible, or arrange appropriate solutions</li><li>Maintain a hands-on approach when required</li><li>Source and manage specialist contractors where necessary</li></ul><h4>Planned &amp; Reactive Maintenance</h4><ul><li>Implement, manage, and monitor a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule</li><li>Coordinate and prioritise reactive maintenance requests</li><li>Ensure works are completed on time, to standard, and with minimal disruption</li><li>Maintain consistent maintenance standards</li></ul><h4>Organisation &amp; Systems</h4><ul><li>Introduce and manage simple, effective systems for tracking maintenance tasks</li><li>Maintain accurate logs, schedules, and maintenance records</li><li>Identify recurring issues and implement long-term corrective solutions</li></ul><h4>Budget &amp; Cost Control</h4><ul><li>Manage day-to-day maintenance spend within agreed budgets</li><li>Source materials and obtain contractor quotations</li><li>Ensure cost-effective purchasing and value for money</li></ul><h4>Annual Budgeting &amp; Planning</h4><ul><li>Assist with preparation of annual maintenance budgets</li><li>Forecast expected costs and planned maintenance works</li><li>Monitor spend against budget and highlight variances</li><li>Support forward planning and prioritisation of maintenance activity</li></ul><h4>Equipment &amp; Capital Improvements (CAPEX)</h4><ul><li>Identify equipment upgrades or replacement requirements</li><li>Highlight inefficiencies and recurring repair costs</li><li>Support the planning and delivery of small CAPEX projects</li><li>Provide practical input into investment priorities</li></ul><h4>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance</h4><ul><li>Ensure compliance with health &amp; safety standards and regulations</li><li>Support statutory checks (including fire safety and water hygiene)</li><li>Promote safe working practices across the maintenance team</li></ul><hr /><h3>Skills &amp; Experience</h3><ul><li>Strong all-round maintenance background (multi-skilled preferred: electrical, plumbing, general building)</li><li>Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues</li><li>Experience coordinating or supervising a maintenance team</li><li>Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills</li><li>Hands-on, practical, and solutions-focused mindset</li><li>Experience in hospitality or leisure environments</li><li>Confident managing maintenance budgets and controlling spend</li><li>Experience working with external contractors and specialists</li><li>Calm under pressure and comfortable taking ownership of complex issues</li></ul><hr /><h3>Why Join Us?</h3><ul><li>Role with autonomy and responsibility</li><li>Opportunity to influence standards and systems</li><li>Supportive management environment</li><li>Competitive salary based on experience</li></ul></div> Apply Now!!!Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
