We're on the hunt for a superstar Nursery Chef to whip up tasty, healthy meals for our little foodies!This isn't just any kitchen job - it's a chance to make a difference, one delicious meal at a time.👨‍🍳 What You'll Be Doing:<ul><li>Creating fresh, yummy meals and snacks for children aged 6 months to 5 years.</li><li>Cooking with care - catering for allergies and dietary needs.</li><li>Keeping our kitchen sparkling clean and fully stocked.</li><li>Work in partnership with nursery staff to support children's well-being.</li></ul><ul><li>You will be required to cook and prepare for lunch service, snack &amp; teatime service</li><li>Take responsibility for catered dietary requirements and ensure communicated to team members.</li><li>Ensuring high levels of standards within hygiene &amp; cleanliness on site the nurseries</li><li>Adhere to all health and safety on site, and ensure all internal and external requirements are met, with all relevant temperature paperwork completed.</li></ul><ul><li>Putting away deliveries.</li><li>Assist with other areas of the kitchen including pot washing. - this is mainly within our smaller sites, due to lower volumes.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work with children, in preparing fun snacks and baking sessions.</li></ul> ✅ You'll Be Perfect If You:<ul><li>Have experience in a kitchen (nursery or school setting is a bonus!)</li><li>Know your way around food hygiene (Level 2 certificate required)</li><li>Are organised, creative, and love working around children</li><li>Can turn veggies into magic!</li></ul><ul><li>Previous experience as a chef/cook level within the last 2 years, within a DBS controlled environment or children environment.</li><li>Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends if needed all our nurseries don't require weekends.</li><li>Experience within education sector, cooking for either small &amp; large schools both primary secondary and nurseries.</li><li>Great communication and team work skills</li><li>Level 2 Health and Safety Certificate (ideal but not essential as training is provided) </li><li>Food allergen certificates.</li><li>Passion for food</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Due to certain locations a full UK driving license is required along with own access to a vehicle</li><li>An in date Enhanced DBS DATED WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS ideally on the new updated service programme. If you have a car and are flexible with locations, great.
