Location: Newchurch - Burton on Trent

Salary: £48,667.50

Hours: 45 Hours per Week 7/8am starts | 5 Days out of 7

Blue Arrow are recruiting for a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a prestigious hospitality venue in Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment and enjoys working alongside their team to deliver outstanding food.

This is not a stand-back management role, you will be fully operational, setting the tone for quality, consistency and service.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day kitchen operation, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times while developing and leading your team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading from the front - cooking, plating and maintaining exceptional standards
• Managing daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Supporting menu development using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced produce
• Training, mentoring and motivating chefs and kitchen staff
• Managing stock, controlling costs and reducing waste
• Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP and COSHH regulations
• Engaging with guests and acting on feedback to drive continuous improvement

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Head Chef who brings both leadership and operational strength.

• Proven experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role
• Hands-on approach with a passion for fresh, quality food
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire a team
• Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills
• Solid understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen compliance
• Flexible approach to working hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
