Sous Chef - Contract CateringMonday to Friday | Daytime HoursWe are currently recruiting experienced Sous Chefs to join our contract catering teams across Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham.The RoleAs a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, fresh food in a professional contract catering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs seeking a stable work-life balance with no evenings or weekends.Hours<ul><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Shifts between 07:00 - 16:00</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations</li><li>Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal menus</li><li>Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene</li><li>Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management</li><li>Supervising kitchen staff and supporting team development</li><li>Ensuring full compliance with food safety and health &amp; safety standards</li></ul>About You<ul><li>Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up</li><li>Experience within contract catering, education, business &amp; industry or similar settings is desirable</li><li>Passionate about fresh food and quality service</li><li>Excellent organisational and teamwork skills</li><li>Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to obtain)</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Daytime hours only - evenings and weekends off</li><li>Competitive salary (dependent on experience)</li><li>Opportunities to work across reputable contract catering sites</li></ul>Locations<ul><li>Newcastle</li><li>Gateshead</li><li>Durham</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
