<h2>!Sous Chef - Contract Catering Site - £14.18/h - Work/Life Balance - Salisbury</h2><p>Are you ready to step into a Sous Chef role with a leading contract catering company and enjoy a better work/life balance?</p><h3>Key Info:</h3><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Salisbury</li><li><strong>Salary:</strong> £14.18p/h (£29,473.60)</li><li><strong>Shifts:</strong> 5/7, 40 hours plus paid overtime</li><li><strong>Schedule:</strong> 1 in 3 weekends<ul><li>Early shifts: 5/6am-2/2:30pm</li><li>Late shifts: 11pm-7:30pm</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Required Skills:</h3><ul><li>Strong understanding of fresh produce and ingredients</li><li>Excellent organisational and leadership skills</li><li>Confident working independently and supporting the Head Chef</li><li>Experience across a variety of kitchen environments and cuisines</li><li>Solid working knowledge of HACCP procedures</li><li>Understanding of food production methods and kitchen systems</li><li>Open to new ideas, processes, and continuous improvement</li><li>Positive, professional, and approachable manner</li></ul><h3>Duties Will Include:</h3><ul><li>Supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations</li><li>Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service</li><li>Preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to agreed standards</li><li>Supervising and training junior kitchen staff</li><li>Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene</li><li>Ensuring all customer dietary and allergen requirements are met</li><li>Playing a key role in driving a positive kitchen culture and performance</li></ul><h3>To Be Successful, You'll Need:</h3><ul><li>Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up</li><li>Food Hygiene certificate and allergen awareness training</li><li>Basic knowledge of health &amp; safety (COSHH etc.) - training available</li><li>A genuine passion for hospitality and quality food</li><li>Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><h2> </h2><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
