Pastry sou chef - Northampton

Location: Northampton

Hours: 45 hours per week (5 days out of 7)

We are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked items to a high standard
• Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality across all pastry offerings
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety at all times
• Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
• Manage stock, minimise waste, and support ordering when required
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking methods
• Passion for fresh ingredients and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
