We are looking for an ambitious and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Chef de Partie or Junior Sous looking to progress their career in a professional, well-organised kitchen.
The Role
As Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing kitchen operations and service
- Lead and motivate the team in the absence of senior chefs
- Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene
- Support stock control, ordering, and wastage management
- Contribute to menu development and daily specials
- Train and develop junior members of the kitchen team
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A passion for fresh, high-quality food
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
