Bluearrow are seeking Tradesperson /Inspector Aircraft
Locality Blackwood South wales
Position Qualifications:
· Basic arithmetic and English (reading, writing) skills to enable them to follow instructions and document work performed correctly.
· Mechanical or related academic qualification i.e. BTEC/HNC/NVQ or apprenticeship.
· You will be time served with a minimum of 3 years aircraft MRO industry experience.
Skills and Special Attributes:
· Expected with training to show proficient mechanical skills to perform core evaluation skills along with associated process and liaison with /support areas as required.
· Expected to show proficient use of equipment, tools, machinery, and computers as required.
· Able to use and understand aircraft inspection manuals and repair processes.
· Good organizational & time management skills with the ability while working with multiple priorities.
About the Role:
You will be part of a team involved in performing repairs, overhauls and technical inspection/evaluation of commercial aircraft Thrust Reversers and Nacelles, working to OEM, UKCAA and EASA approved standards. This is a fast paced, high precision environment where safety and quality are paramount
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
· Gain approval, Perform Evaluation, Inspections and Certifying Signatory duties as business demand requires.
· Have good mechanical assembly/bonding knowledge, skills and have the ability and willingness to mentor others.
· Have the ability to achieve and use the required internal approval level of Authorized Tradesperson.
· Perform tasks to required standards of the Maintenance Repair Overhaul and/or Production of aircraft components, Quality, Cost, Delivery, TAT and ensuring accuracy of documentation.
· Understand work scope requirements and liaise with support teams to highlight any concerns.
· Be competent in working to deadlines to ensure order completion from evaluation.
· Support and drive projects and Continuous Improvement activities.
· Travel to customer sites to perform inspection and repair services where required.
· Be flexible in supporting shifts and overtime as required to support business needs in response to demand.
· Be a team player with the ability to work independently as well as taking a lead where required on work or project teams.
· Demonstrate ability to communicate at all levels of the business both internally and externally when required by the company.
· Be a role model in relation to safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices.
Be proficient in IT packages such as word, excel, outlook
Shift patterns will be expected to work , and shift allowance paid
2 weeks of 6am -2 pm days and 1 weeks of afternoons the hours of work will be 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday
