Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and maintain a diverse portfolio of contracts, providing expert guidance, governance, and support to contract owners across the organisation. This role is critical in ensuring effective contract performance, compliance, risk management, and future procurement planning.

  • Pay: £23.07 per hour
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: Office-based, with hybrid working options available

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the wider management team to oversee and manage a portfolio of approximately 800 contracts.
  • Proactively planning and managing contract lifecycles, identifying upcoming re-procurement requirements and future business needs up to one to two years in advance.
  • Driving greater ownership and accountability for contracts across the organisation by collaborating closely with Procurement and Contract Owners to ensure effective resource planning and contract management.
  • Acting as the organisation's subject matter expert for contract management, providing advice and guidance to contract owners, senior leaders, and stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance, effective performance management, and appropriate due diligence for new group entities.
  • Leading interventions to address supplier performance concerns, overseeing contract management activities to mitigate risks and improve service delivery.
  • Managing and delivering contract desktop reviews and whole-life cost reconciliations, ensuring commercial risks are minimised and contract expenditure is validated. Additionally, supporting the development and upskilling of the wider contract management team in these areas.
  • Supporting the strategic development of the Commercial Team by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and recommending enhancements to policies, processes, and procedures in line with industry best practice and emerging risks.
