Critical Power Field Service EngineerUK Wide Travel (with occasional EU travel) Full Time | PermanentAbout the RoleAre you an experienced electrical engineer looking to work on high‑value, critical power systems? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist engineering team where you'll play a key role in maintaining essential power equipment across a wide range of projects.This is a hands-on, field-based role involving travel across the UK, with occasional travel into Europe. You'll act as a technical expert, ensuring critical power systems are maintained, repaired, and ready for deployment.What You'll Be Doing<ul><li>Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), diagnostics, and repairs on-site</li><li>Preparing and maintaining equipment to ensure full operational readiness</li><li>Working on a variety of critical power equipment, including:</li><ul><li>Loadbanks (AC/DC, resistive/reactive)</li><li>Generators</li><li>Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)</li><li>Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)</li><li>Transformers</li><li>Power distribution equipment</li></ul><li>Fault-finding on complex electrical systems, including three-phase</li><li>Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with regulations</li><li>Completing reports, service documentation, and inspections</li><li>Supporting wider operational teams with technical expertise</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>Proven experience in a field service or maintenance engineering role</li><li>Strong electrical background with fault-finding capability</li><li>Experience working with critical power or similar systems (generators, UPS, transformers, etc.)</li><li>Ability to read electrical schematics</li><li>Experience working with three-phase systems</li><li>Competence using electrical testing equipment</li><li>A proactive, problem-solving mindset</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>LV/HV qualifications</li><li>Experience with loadbanks or power distribution</li><li>Background in power generation, utilities, or critical infrastructure</li></ul>Why Apply?<ul><li>Opportunity to work on specialist, high-value power systems</li><li>Varied role with nationwide and occasional international exposure</li><li>Be part of a technically strong and supportive engineering team</li><li>Ongoing development and progression opportunities</li><li>Stable role within a critical and growing sector</li></ul>Ready to Apply?If you're a hands-on engineer who enjoys travel, technical challenges, and working with complex electrical systems, this is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
