Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled - Electrical & Mechanical)

Permanent Role - Belper

Shift Pattern: Rotating 3-shift pattern (06:00-14:30 / 14:30-23:00 / Nights)

Friday Hours: 06:00-12:00 / 12:00-18:00

We're partnering with a well-established, market-leading manufacturing company in Belper, known for its engineering excellence, sustainable operations, and long-term investment in its workforce. Due to continued growth and increased automation across the site, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Technician to join a skilled engineering team in a permanent position within a fast-paced, highly automated production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance support across a range of manufacturing equipment, including automated machinery, production lines, and robotic systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise uptime, reliability, and production efficiency.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding, ensuring rapid resolution to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement (CI), lean manufacturing initiatives, and engineering projects.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial production environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience with PLCs (fault finding), automation systems, or robotics is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CMMS / maintenance management systems.
• A proactive, team-oriented engineer with strong problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
