Transport Operator Job - Ipswich Area (AM Shift)

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Operator to join a busy logistics operation in the Ipswich area, working in partnership with Blue Arrow and XPO.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience looking for a stable, long-term role with progression opportunities.

Job Overview

• Position: Transport Operator
• Shift: AM shift - 06:00 to 15:00
• Location: Ipswich
• Pay Rate: £13.33 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatching drivers and managing daily departures
• Conducting driver debriefs at end of shift
• Handling transport paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Responding to driver queries and providing operational support
• Supporting the execution of the daily transport plan

Progression Opportunity

There is scope to increase earnings for candidates willing and capable of developing into a transport planning role, including covering planning duties during holidays and absences.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or operations role preferred
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail with paperwork and compliance
