HR and Payroll Administrator required in Gotham, Nottinghamshire (NG11) for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading logistics operation in partnership with XPO, offering a long-term contract with potential for a permanent position.

Job Title: HR and Payroll Administrator

Location: Gotham, NG11

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Minimum 6-month fixed term (potential permanent opportunity)

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week preferred, 30 hours considered)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour plus holiday accrual

Working Pattern: Office-based initially, with hybrid working available following training


HR and Payroll Administrator Role Overview

As a HR and Payroll Administrator, you will support a busy transport and logistics operation, handling a combination of payroll processing, HR administration, and general office duties. You will work closely with experienced team members during your onboarding and training period.


Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration:

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll
  • Managing time and attendance (T&A) systems
  • Handling payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
  • Producing payroll reports and maintaining accurate records

HR Administration:

  • Maintaining employee records including starters and leavers
  • Monitoring sickness, absence and holiday entitlement
  • Supporting HR processes and documentation
  • Assisting with HR-related queries and administration

General Administration:

  • Managing office administrative tasks including orders and purchase orders
  • Supporting operational administration and reporting

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in payroll administration, HR administration, or a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data
  • Experience working with payroll systems or time and attendance systems
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
