Accounts Assistant - Office-based in Langley / Slough Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to provide financial and administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a fully office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accuracy, and supporting business operations in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring invoices, pricing, and orders are processed correctly while supporting reporting and day-to-day financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice management
Prepare, update, and process invoices, ensuring all information is accurate and in line with company proceduresChasing proformas and outstanding items
Follow up with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure proformas are confirmed and payments are received on timeSales pricing updates
Maintain and update pricing within internal systems, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of changesOrder review and processing
Check customer and supplier orders for accuracy, including pricing, quantities, and documentation before processingReporting
Assist in preparing financial and operational reports, including sales, invoicing, order tracking, and pricing analysisReconciliations and record keeping
Support the maintenance of accurate financial records, identifying and resolving discrepancies where requiredCOO support
Provide day-to-day administrative and financial support, ensuring information is well organised and deadlines are met
Skills & Experience
- Experience in an accounts, finance, Credit control
- Good understanding of invoicing and order processing systems
- Experience using SAGE 200 (or similar accounting software)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Confident using Excel and business systems
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when chasing payments or documentation
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information
