We are recruiting Class 1 Shunter Drivers (C+E Licence) for a leading XPO Logistics contract within the building supply sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for long-term, stable work with the potential to go temp-to-perm after 13 weeks.

Job Overview

• Job Title: Class 1 Shunter Driver
• Location: East Leake, Barrow, Gotham (UK driving jobs)
• Pay Rate: £15.88 per hour + holiday accrual
• Contract: Temp to Perm (after 13 weeks)

Shift Patterns

• Monday to Friday PM shift: 14:00 - 22:30
• Rotating AM / PM shift available

Class 1 Shunter Driver Duties

• Safely shunting trailers around a busy distribution yard
• Coordinating with transport, warehouse, and security teams
• Ensuring efficient vehicle movement on-site
• Following strict health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Shunter or yard experience preferred (full training provided)
• Strong understanding of HGV safety standards
• Reliable and professional approach
