<h2><strong>Cook</strong></h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> Gloucestershire</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £30,000 - £33,000 per annum</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Home Manager / Bursar</p><h3><strong>Overview</strong></h3><p>We are seeking a Cook to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service within a residential setting. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals while meeting a range of dietary and cultural needs.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Assist with menu planning in collaboration with the Chef</li><li>Prepare, cook, and serve meals in line with agreed menus</li><li>Cater for a variety of dietary requirements</li><li>Maintain stock levels and ensure quality of ingredients</li><li>Follow food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP procedures</li><li>Support compliance with inspections and implement improvements where required</li><li>Provide cover for the Chef when needed</li></ul><h3><strong>About You</strong></h3><ul><li>Basic Food Hygiene Certificate</li><li>Good literacy and numeracy skills</li><li>Experience in a kitchen preparing meals for groups</li><li>Understanding of food hygiene and health &amp; safety standards</li><li>Positive, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>A considerate approach when working with older people</li></ul><h3><strong>Desirable</strong></h3><ul><li>Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking (or willingness to work towards)</li><li>Knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and menu planning</li><li>Some supervisory experience</li></ul><p>If you are interested in this role, please contact Giles for further information on 01635 34949</p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
