This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, organisation, and team support come together. You'll play a key part in keeping our rooms and public areas looking their best, while guiding and supporting the housekeeping team to succeed.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensuring all guest rooms meet our high standards before they're ready to welcome guests
  • Preparing daily work schedules to help the team run smoothly and efficiently
  • Checking public areas to maintain a consistently clean and welcoming environment
  • Supporting stock management, ensuring housekeeping supplies are well organised and available
  • Training and guiding team members on best practices and use of equipment
  • Supporting ordering and stock control within housekeeping stores
  • Keeping housekeeping records and documentation accurate and up to date
  • Assisting in the linen room when needed
  • Managing key distribution securely and responsibly
  • Handling lost property queries with care and professionalism
  • Stepping up to lead the team in the absence of the Head or Deputy Head Housekeeper
  • Working closely with Reception to ensure guest needs are met seamlessly
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly to keep our facilities at their best
  • Creating a personal touch by recognising and engaging with guests whenever possible
  • Supporting guest queries and ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for
  • Attending training sessions and team meetings to stay sharp and informed

What we're looking for

  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high standards
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
  • A team player who enjoys supporting and developing others
  • Confidence communicating with both colleagues and guests
  • A responsible and proactive approach to health, safety, and compliance
