<h2>Job Title: Unified Communications Engineer</h2><h3>Overview</h3>We are looking for a dependable, driven, and hard-working Unified Communications Engineer to join our growing team. This is a dynamic hybrid role combining desk-based support with hands-on field work across Central Scotland.The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality support, installations, and maintenance services across a range of telephony, networking, and unified communications systems. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the determination to continuously develop their skills within a fast-evolving industry.<hr /><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line technical support across telephony and networking environments</li><li>Install, configure, and maintain iPECS Cloud and on-premise PBX systems</li><li>Deploy and support 4G/5G connectivity solutions, including cellular routers (e.g., Teltonika)</li><li>Design, install, and troubleshoot enterprise Wi-Fi solutions (Ubiquiti UniFi &amp; TP-Link Omada)</li><li>Carry out structured cabling installations (CAT5/CAT6) and maintain tidy comms cabinets</li><li>Conduct site surveys, system design, and implementation of communication solutions</li><li>Configure value-added services such as IVR, voicemail, call recording, and auto-attendants</li><li>Provide on-site and remote fault diagnosis and repair, ensuring SLA compliance</li><li>Support and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Miradore)</li><li>Assist with moves, adds, and changes for customer systems</li><li>Maintain stock, test equipment, and produce reports to support service delivery</li><li>Collaborate internally using tools such as ClickUp to manage projects and workloads</li></ul><hr /><h3>Skills &amp; Experience</h3><ul><li>Proven experience with:<ul><li>iPECS telephony platforms (Cloud &amp; On-Prem)</li><li>Ubiquiti UniFi and TP-Link Omada networking solutions</li></ul></li><li>Strong fault-finding abilities across:<ul><li>PSTN, ISDN, SIP, and mobile data connections (4G/5G)</li></ul></li><li>Excellent customer-facing communication skills</li><li>A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail</li><li>Full UK Driving Licence (essential)</li></ul><hr /><h3>What We're Looking For</h3>We're seeking someone who is:<ul><li>Dependable and reliable - someone we can count on to deliver consistently high standards</li><li>Hard-working with a strong work mentality - willing to go the extra mile to get the job done</li><li>Determined and motivated - eager to learn, develop, and grow within the role</li><li>A team player, comfortable working within a small company environment</li><li>Flexible and willing to travel regularly for field-based work</li></ul><hr /><h3>Role Details</h3><ul><li>Location: Hybrid - Livingston (EH54 7DE) &amp; customer sites across Central Scotland</li><li>Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM</li><li>Job Type: Full-time</li><li>Salary: TBC</li></ul><hr /><h3>What's Included</h3><ul><li>Company van for fieldwork and site visits</li><li>High-spec laptop for remote support and configuration</li><li>Company mobile phone</li><li>29 days holiday per year</li><li>Company pension scheme</li><li>On-site parking at Livingston office</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
