Location: Crowthorne
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (Monday-Sunday)
Shift Patterns: Early 06:30 - 15:00 | Late 12:00 - 20:30

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join a busy education catering environment in Wokingham. You will support the Executive Chef in delivering high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and deliver high-quality food, ensuring attention to dietary and allergen requirements
· Support catering functions and hospitality events
· Monitor food quality and maintain consistency
· Supervise kitchen staff and ensure safe working practices
· Assist with stock control, ordering, and FIFO storage procedures
· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
· Record and monitor food waste
· Contribute to menu development
· Report maintenance issues and incidents
· Assist with special events as required
Skills & Experience
· Essential
· Previous experience in a similar Sous Chef role
· Strong attention to detail and standards
· HACCP knowledge
· Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certification
· Flexible and positive approach to work
· Desirable
· Team leadership experience
· Client relationship management
· Passion for food and menu innovation
· Good communication and admin skills
