Domestic Assistant - School EnvironmentOverview of the RoleOur client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join their team, helping to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across their school site.This is a varied role in a dynamic day and residential school environment, requiring flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to high standards.<hr style="text-align: center;" /> Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Follow instructions from the Supervisor to deliver high-quality cleaning services</li><li>Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in line with school policies</li><li>Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively</li><li>Ensure all cleaning equipment is well maintained and stored securely after use</li><li>Complete tasks in line with cleaning schedules and routines</li><li>Keep cleaning cupboards and storage areas clean, organised, and secure (locked where required)</li><li>Support colleagues by covering duties during absence or holidays, including in other departments if needed</li><li>Attend required training sessions and team meetings</li><li>Report any maintenance issues, damages, or defects to your line manager promptly</li><li>Comply with uniform standards and maintain a professional appearance at all times</li><li>In the event of any incidents involving pupils, report immediately to a teacher or staff member</li><li>Carry out any additional reasonable duties as requested by the General Services Manager or Head Teacher</li></ul><hr style="text-align: center;" /> Additionally:<ul><li>A strong commitment to high cleaning and hygiene standards</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work to structured routines</li><li>Good awareness of health and safety practices</li><li>A dependable, flexible, and team-focused approach</li><li>Willingness to support across different areas when needed</li><li>Professional, tidy, and responsible attitude</li></ul><h1> </h1>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
