Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to join a high-quality hospitality venue known for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients, bringing together the best of land and sea.
The Role
As Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Food & Beverage Supervisors to support the day-to-day running of front of house operations. You will help ensure consistently high service standards are delivered across all food and beverage areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day front of house operations across restaurant and bar
- Support, coach and motivate the team, building confidence and decision-making skills
- Maintain strong product knowledge (menus, cocktails and wine pairing) and drive sales through upselling
- Deliver an excellent guest experience by anticipating needs and managing feedback
- Assist with stock control and cost management to support business performance
- Oversee service systems including reservations, POS, billing and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards
- Manage closing procedures, including securing the venue
- Identify opportunities to improve service, products and operations
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong front of house experience within a quality restaurant or bar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead by example and support team development
- High attention to detail and strong memory for menus and orders
- Reliable and resilient in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused with a commitment to health & safety standards
Training & Development
Training will be provided where required, including:
- Food Safety in Catering
- Health & Safety (COSHH, Manual Handling, Fire Safety)
- First Aid at Work
- Leadership and people management skills
