ELP - Industrial Cleaner

Job Title: Industrial Cleaner

Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible, including weekends and overtime as required)

Role Overview

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the packhouse environment. This is a hands-on role focused on deep cleaning machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean machinery, equipment, and production areas to required hygiene standards
• Carry out deep cleaning of floors, walls, and surfaces within the packhouse
• Ensure correct use of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment
• Follow and adhere to PPE requirements at all times
• Complete cleaning checklists and records to meet audit standards
• Maintain cleanliness in communal areas such as toilets, canteen, and changing rooms
• Keep work areas, walkways, and storage areas clean and free from waste
• Monitor cleaning chemical levels and report any shortages or equipment faults
• Support general site cleaning, including external areas where required
• Comply with all health & safety and food hygiene regulations

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in industrial or heavy-duty cleaning (preferred)
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and hygiene practices
• Good knowledge of health & safety and PPE requirements
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Good attention to detail
• Access to transport is preferred
