Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an industrial printer/print finisher for their client based in Glasgow, Govan location. This is long term ongoing assignment with FT work for the right candidate after 12 weeks of assignment. Location: Glasgow, Govan Working hours/days: Rotational shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am - 14:30 pm / backshift 13:30 - 22:00pm Salary: £26000pa + £3000 shift allowance - DOE Experience in large format printing required. Main Accountabilities:<ul><li>Operate, troubleshoot &amp; manage finishing products using a range of manual and automated equipment and techniques to fulfill customer requirements.</li><li>To take ownership of jobs to ensure successful outcomes are achieved, meeting client expectations in terms of efficient delivery, quality and accurate adherence to specific instructions.</li><li>Ensure all tools and machinery are maintained and stored securely where appropriate</li><li>Resolve and escalate internally in a timely manner, should problems emerge during production.</li><li>To deliver work on time and to a high standard as agreed.</li><li>Ensure all activity, tasks and materials are recorded accurately and complete</li><li>Develop, maintain and up-date and understand the branch network and suite of products and services the business provides in order to deliver the best product and service to the client.</li><li>Ability to work calmly and effectively when under pressure of tight deadlines</li><li>Deliver ad-hoc duties as reasonably required by the manager</li><li>Treat all materials, substrates and company equipment with care</li><li>Highlight any stock, machinery or Health and Safety issues to the site lead and management teams as required</li></ul> Essential Competencies and Behaviours<ul><li>Effective and appropriate communication style </li><li>Diplomacy, integrity and professionalism when dealing with the public, customers and colleagues</li><li>Works well within a team</li><li>Ability to multitask</li><li>Ability to plan and organise workload</li><li>The confidence and ability to work on own initiative</li><li>Attention to detail for quality control on outputs</li></ul> Desirable Competencies<ul><li>Relevant experience in a similar role or environment in Print, POS, Display or manufacturing business.</li></ul> General Skills<ul><li>Be familiar with Microsoft Outlook and how to download and send emails.</li><li>Comfortable with using shared folders to transport files.</li><li>Addition of daily maintenance and calibration procedure</li><li>Maintain high standards of housekeeping</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
