Salary: £15.05 per hour (£29,347.50 per annum)

Hours: 40 hours per week (paid 37.5 - 30-minute unpaid break) 1 weekend per month

Contract: Permanent

The Role

Wea are currently recruiting a Chef to join the catering team at a contract catering unit near Chippenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a structured, well-organised environment with straight shifts and excellent work-life balance.

You will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.

Working Pattern

• 5 days out of 7
• Straight shifts only
• Shift patterns:
  • 06:30 - 14:30
  • 10:30 - 20:00
• 1 weekend per month
• No split shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals to Company standards
• Supporting menu preparation and service delivery
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are met
• Working efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Chef or strong kitchen background
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a high volume environment
• Ability to gain a DBS and references that cover the last 3 years of employment
