Job Overview

We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Wagon and Drag Day Tramper Drivers to operate from our Norwich (NR6 6EU) depot on behalf of a market‑leading home improvement company.

This role involves nationwide trunking and delivery work using modern wagon and drag vehicles. The client offers a professional driving environment, places strong emphasis on health and safety, and provides comprehensive training, making this an ideal opportunity for both experienced drivers and those newly passed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 wagon and drag vehicles on nationwide delivery routes
• Carry out safe and efficient deliveries in line with scheduled plans
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Adhere to all drivers' hours, tachograph, and WTD regulations
• Maintain high professional standards when dealing with clients and sites
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times

Shift Pattern

• Day tramper position
• Nights out required
• Average shift length of approximately 11 hours

Pay Rates and Allowances

• £15.50 per hour for the first 8 hours
• £23.25 per hour after 8 hours
• £26.20 tax‑free night out allowance
• Holiday pay accrued on top of hourly rate

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card (Digicard)
• Wagon and drag experience advantageous but not essential
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards
• Reliable, safety‑conscious, and professional approach
