<p>We are seeking an experienced and dependable <strong>Temporary Agency Chef</strong> to support our catering operation in Peterhead for a fixed two‑month period from July 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering high‑quality meals while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards. This role is ideal for a flexible, skilled chef who can adapt quickly to an established kitchen environment.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Prepare, cook, and present meals to a consistently high standard</li><li>Work from set menus while accommodating dietary requirements and allergen controls</li><li>Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in line with HACCP and Food Standards Scotland guidelines</li><li>Ensure correct food storage, stock rotation, and portion control</li><li>Work effectively as part of an existing catering team</li><li>Follow all health &amp; safety procedures and organisational policies</li><li>Assist with basic kitchen administration as required (e.g. temperature checks, cleaning records)</li></ul><h2>Skills and Experience Required</h2><ul><li>Proven experience as a Chef (e.g. Chef de Partie, Cook, or similar role)</li><li>Current <strong>Food Safety and Hygiene certification</strong> (Level 2 minimum)</li><li>Strong knowledge of allergens and dietary compliance</li><li>Ability to work independently and under pressure</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and professional approach</li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills</li></ul><h2>Desirable</h2><ul><li>Experience working in temporary or agency chef roles</li><li>Previous experience in contract catering, healthcare, education, or hospitality environments</li><li>Local knowledge of Peterhead or ability to commute reliably</li></ul><h2>Working Hours</h2><ul><li>Hours to be agreed (may include weekends or shift work depending on service requirements)</li></ul><h2>What We Offer</h2><ul><li>Competitive agency pay rate</li><li>Short‑term assignment with a clear end date</li><li>Supportive working environment</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
