General Manager - Café
Location: Redcar
Contract: Fixed Term - 4 May to 31 August
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 per annum (pro rata)
Responsible for the overall management of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, effective team leadership, and smooth day‑to‑day operations during the fixed‑term period.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily café operations and maintain high service, food, and cleanliness standards
- Lead, train, and manage staff, including rotas and performance
- Control costs, stock levels, and wastage
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
Requirements
- Experience managing a café or hospitality business
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation
