<p>The role requires consistency, organisation, and strong cooking skills to ensure dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Take full ownership of your designated kitchen section</li><li>Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and standards</li><li>Assist with menu preparation and daily specials</li><li>Ensure all food is prepared in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP)</li><li>Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste</li><li>Train and support Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your section</li><li>Work closely with Sous and Head Chefs to ensure smooth service</li><li>Assist with deliveries and stock rotation (FIFO)</li></ul><h3><strong>Skills &amp; Experience Required</strong></h3><ul><li>Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to progress</li><li>Good knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong attention to detail and consistency</li><li>Team player with good communication skills</li><li>NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery (desirable)</li><li>Food Hygiene Level 2 (required)</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p><ul><li>Passion for food and fresh ingredients</li><li>Reliable, organised, and punctual</li><li>Willingness to learn and develop skills</li><li>Flexible approach to working hours (including weekends and evenings)</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
