School Attendance Assistant
Location: Dudley
Hours: Monday to Friday 30-37.5 hours
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an experienced Attendance Assistant to join a school in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, organised professional looking to take the next step in their career within the education sector.
We are seeking a reliable and punctual individual with strong administrative skills who can support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy school office and attendance team
Job role includes:
- Attendance Support: Supporting the attendance officer - monitoring daily student attendance, tracking punctuality, and acting as the first point of contact for unexplained absences.
- Compliance & Safeguarding: Support school safeguarding processes, policies, and compliance requirements
- Data Administration: Efficient use of Arbor MIS, correctly recording student and staff absences
- Parental Liaison: Communicating with parents/carers regarding absences and educating them on the importance of punctuality and attendance.
- Administration Duties: Answering telephone calls, managing emails, filing paperwork, and general office administration
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working in a school office within the attendance team
- Proven experience with Arbor MIS
- Strong IT and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Enhanced DBS certificate (issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service)
