Part Time Finance Officer

Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with an Education School based in Southwell and they are looking to recruit a Part time Finance Officer to join their team on a fixed term basis until August 2027

Please note this role is to start asap so the ideal candidate should ideally be immediately available. As this is working in a school environment a current enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) issued within the last 2 years is also essential, if you don't have one we can help you obtain this.

Hours: Mon -Fri - 26.5 hours per week

Salary - 28k

Duration: Fixed Term till August 2027

Location: Southwell, Nottingham

What does the Part time Finance Officer role involve?

* Generating checking and processing invoices

* Processing sales invoices

* Managing accounts receivable

* Updating financial reports

* Making BACS payments

* Checking and reconciling statements

* Dealing with all purchase enquiries

* Dealing with financial administrative paperwork

* Ledger corrections

* Financially planning for school trips

* Dealing with financial administrative paperwork

The ideal experience/qualities of a Finance Officer:

* Ideally need to of been a Finance officer or similar role before

* AAT Level 3 qualified if desirable but not essential

* Strong skills with MS packages including Excel

* Can use their own initiative

* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

* Is outgoing and able to build a rapport with students and other staff member
