Sous Chef - Food‑Led Pub

🕒 Live‑out position

We are a busy, food‑led pub in the heart of the New Forest looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the Role

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
  • Maintaining consistently high food standards and presentation
  • Assisting with menu development, prep, and service
  • Upholding excellent food safety and hygiene standards
  • Helping manage junior chefs and kitchen organisation

The Kitchen

  • Up to 150 covers maximum
  • Straight shifts only
  • Kitchen opening hours: 12pm - 8pm
  • Focus on quality, seasonality, and well‑executed pub food

Hours & Schedule

  • Minimum 45 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7
  • Overtime paid back in lieu

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP
  • Passion for fresh, food‑led pub cooking
  • Calm, organised, and professional under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
