Job Title: General OperativeLocation: SudburyEmployment Type: Ongoing, temp-permPay Rate: £13.25 per hourWorking Hours:<ul><li>Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00</li><li>Friday: 07:00 - 15:00</li></ul> Job PurposeTo support the efficient operation of the warehouse by ensuring scaffolding equipment is safely stored, maintained, and prepared for delivery or collection. This role involves manual handling, stock control, and close collaboration with the welding team to meet project deadlines. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload scaffolding materials from delivery vehicles using correct manual handling techniques or equipment.</li><li>Stock Management: Count, record, and organise scaffolding components including tubes, boards, fittings, and accessories.</li><li>Maintenance: Inspect and clean returned equipment, ensuring all items are in good working condition and reporting any damage or defects.</li><li>Order Preparation: Pick and pack scaffolding orders accurately for dispatch to construction sites.</li><li>Health &amp; Safety: Follow all company health and safety procedures, including wearing PPE and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.</li><li>Inventory Checks: Assist with regular stock takes and audits to ensure accurate inventory records.</li><li>Teamwork: Collaborate with drivers, site operatives, and office staff to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.</li><li>General Duties: Perform other warehouse-related tasks as required, including sweeping, organising, and minor repairs.</li></ul> Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience in a warehouse or construction-related role (preferred but not essential)</li><li>Physically fit and able to lift heavy items</li><li>Good attention to detail and organisational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Own transport - due to location DE6</li></ul> If interested, please apply below and we will reach out to you.
