We are recruiting reliable and hardworking General Cleaning Operatives and Litter Pickers to support this year's Open Championship at Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a world‑class sporting event, working within a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment.

Royal Birkdale Golf Club, Southport

Roles Available

• General Cleaning Operatives
• Litter Pickers / Grounds Cleaning Staff

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness across event areas, spectator zones, walkways and facilities
• Litter picking and waste removal across outdoor and high‑footfall areas
• Cleaning and replenishing public areas, toilets and staff facilities
• Working to high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation
• Supporting the event team to ensure a positive experience for visitors

What We're Looking For

• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
• A positive, can‑do attitude with good attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Previous cleaning or event experience is helpful but not essential

Pay & Benefits

• £13.45 - £14.45 per hour
• Opportunity to work at a prestigious international sporting event

Shifts & Dates

• Temporary roles covering the Open Championship period
• Flexible shifts available across event days
• Full‑time and part‑time hours available
