Nights MIG Welder
Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Nights MIG Welder on an ongoing contract for our prestigious client in the engineering/Fabrications industry (Temp to perm for the right candidate). The role is ideal for a welder who excels in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering consistent, structural-grade welds.
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: 6pm till 4:30am Monday - Wednesday and 6pm till 2am on Thursday
Pay Rate: £20.19p/h and after 37 hours work overtime pay is £22.06p/h
Duties Include (but not limited to):
Precision welding - performing high quality MIG welding on small sub-assemblies
Utilising specialised jigs to ensure components are aligned to strict tolerances
Consistently laying 8-15mm fillet welds, ensuring clean finishes
Self-inspecting welds to ensure they meet engineering specifications and structural standards
General Maintenance of unit where required
Liaising with management team on faults / issues during early stages to ensure customer satisfaction
What we are looking for:
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, but experience in a manufacturing / engineering role also considered
Ability to work accurately with jigs and maintain speed without sacrificing weld integrity
Experience with Cranes and ability to follow basic drawings
A great attention to detail
Willing to learn
Great attitude towards work, taking pride in the results of your hard work
